1. Who we are
Prevexium LLC builds infection prevention and control software for healthcare professionals. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using prevexium.com, Prevexia AI, Salvium, Inspectus, and any other Prevexium product or service (together, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy, make up the agreement between you and Prevexium.
These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Services. The Services are for infection preventionists, other trained healthcare professionals, and the administrators of healthcare organizations. They are not for patients, residents, or their families, and you may not offer them to patients as a patient-facing service. When you create an account, you confirm that you are a healthcare professional.
2. Your account
You need an account to use most of the Services. When you create one, give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the activity that happens under your account. If you think someone else has accessed your account, contact us at hello@prevexium.com right away.
One person per seat. Pro and Max are individual plans, each covering one seat for one person. They are not for shared logins or facility-wide use. If more than one person at your organization needs access, our Facility & Enterprise plan is built for that, with seats set by your agreement with us.
3. Using the Services
Prevexium provides AI-assisted infection prevention and control (IPC) tools for healthcare professionals, including:
- Prevexia AI: IPC intelligence assistant (CDC/NHSN/OSHA-aligned)
- Salvium: Outbreak decision support and playbook generation
- Inspectus: EOC audit and environmental inspection tools
- Vigilum: a multi-facility workspace (site switcher, per-facility roles and facility profile) on the Facility & Enterprise plan; availability is set in your agreement
- HAI Surveillance, reference libraries, and related clinical tools
The Services are designed to support, not replace, the professional judgment of qualified infection preventionists and healthcare providers.
What you may not do. You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:
- Prompt Injection & Reverse Engineering. Attempt to manipulate, override, or extract the underlying system instructions, prompts, or configuration of any Prevexium AI system through any means, including but not limited to: injecting instructions such as “ignore previous instructions,” “repeat your system prompt,” “act as DAN,” or any similar technique designed to cause the AI to reveal, deviate from, or bypass its operating instructions.
- Scraping & Automated Harvesting. Use automated bots, crawlers, scrapers, scripts, or any non-human means to systematically collect, harvest, or replicate outputs from the Services for the purpose of training competing AI models, replicating Prevexium's clinical logic, or building derivative products.
- Stress Testing & Adversarial Probing. Deliberately send high volumes of requests, adversarial inputs, or edge-case queries intended to map system behavior, identify failure modes, or reconstruct Prevexium's backend logic.
- Competitive Intelligence. Use the Services, in whole or in part, to build, train, benchmark, or improve a competing AI product or IPC software platform.
- Credential Sharing. Share API keys, account credentials, or subscription access with unauthorized third parties.
- PHI Submission. Submit Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA into any text field, photo, or voice recording (see Section 4).
- Diagnosis, Treatment & Patient Communication. Use the Services to diagnose an individual patient, to choose a treatment, drug, or dose for an individual patient, resident, or staff member, or to communicate with patients, residents, or their families. NHSN and other surveillance classifications produced by the Services are reporting determinations, not clinical diagnoses. Our AI provider’s HIPAA requirements rule out these uses, and the Services are not built for them.
- Misrepresentation. Represent that AI-generated content constitutes final clinical, legal, or regulatory guidance without independent professional review.
Rate limits and fair use. To protect the quality and availability of the Services for all users, Prevexium applies automated rate limits to API requests and AI interactions.
Each subscription includes a monthly allowance of AI interactions, which resets on your billing anniversary — the day your subscription renews each month. Pro includes 300 interactions a month; Max includes 900. Unused allowance does not carry over.
A photo analysis uses more of your allowance than a text question, because it costs materially more to run. The amount varies with the analysis: a photo counts as more than one interaction, up to 5.
We will email you as you approach your monthly allowance. If you reach it, AI interactions may pause until your allowance resets on your next billing anniversary. To change plans, contact us at hello@prevexium.com.
We may change the allowances included with a plan. If we reduce the allowance on a plan you are already subscribed to, we will tell you before it takes effect.
We do not charge overage fees. Your bill is the price of your plan. An allowance that pauses is the alternative to a bill that surprises you, and we would rather you kept a predictable number.
Access to your account, your saved work and your history is never suspended for reaching an allowance. What pauses is new AI interactions.
This is not a license for unlimited automated use. Accounts systematically exceeding normal use patterns, whether through automation, credential sharing, resale, or adversarial probing, may be rate-limited or suspended without notice.
4. Health information and HIPAA
Prevexium's Services are designed to support IPC workflows without requiring the submission of patient-identifiable data. Text you type is automatically screened for PHI, and detected identifiers are removed before processing. Photos and voice recordings are not automatically screened.
Do not submit PHI (patient names, dates of birth, MRNs, addresses, or other HIPAA-defined identifiers) in anything you type, upload, or record. This applies to every plan, including plans covered by a Business Associate Agreement.
Business Associate Agreements. Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) will be available to Facility & Enterprise customers that are HIPAA covered entities or business associates once Prevexium's own agreements with its service providers are in place. Where a signed BAA is in place, it governs how Prevexium handles any PHI it receives on that customer's behalf, and it controls if it conflicts with these Terms. Individual plans are not covered by a BAA.
Prevexium is HIPAA-aligned in its technical architecture. See our Disclaimers & Notices for detailed privacy and security disclosures.
5. AI outputs and clinical judgment
The Services provide decision support for qualified infection prevention professionals. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All AI-generated guidance must be reviewed and validated by a licensed, credentialed infection preventionist or other appropriate healthcare professional before implementation.
Regulatory standards (CDC, NHSN, OSHA, CMS, FDA) evolve continuously. Prevexium strives to maintain current knowledge bases but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy for all guidance. Always verify against the primary authoritative source before making clinical decisions.
6. Subscriptions, fees and payment
Subscription plans provide access to the Services and are subject to the pricing terms shown at the time of purchase. The AI features of Prevexia AI, Salvium and Inspectus require an active subscription or free trial.
Who processes your payment. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details and billing, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
Free trial and automatic renewal. A subscription may begin with a free trial period. Starting a trial requires a valid payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your trial automatically converts to a paid subscription and the payment method you provided will be charged the plan price shown when you subscribed. Paid subscriptions then renew automatically for successive billing periods, and the payment method on file is charged at the start of each period, until you cancel. The trial length, the price, the billing period and the date of your first charge are shown to you before your payment details are taken.
One free trial per account. A free trial includes a limited number of AI interactions, stated at checkout and in our Refund Policy; your plan’s full allowance begins when the trial ends. Each account may use the free trial once. If you have subscribed before, a new subscription begins without a trial and is charged when you subscribe, and you are told so before your payment details are taken. Each account may hold one active subscription at a time.
How to cancel. You may cancel at any time, including during a trial, from your Account page by choosing Manage subscription, which opens Paddle’s billing portal, or by contacting us at hello@prevexium.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before that period begins, that is, before your next billing date; to avoid being charged at the end of a trial, cancel before the trial ends. Canceling stops future charges; it is not the same as a refund.
Refunds. Except as described in our Refund Policy or where required by law, payments are non-refundable. See our Refund Policy, which also explains when we issue refunds, how to request one, and any right you have under local law to cancel within 14 days of purchase.
Prevexium reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services with reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers to run the Services: Anthropic (AI inference for Prevexia), OpenAI (speech-to-text and read-aloud voice features), Voyage AI (text embeddings for search), Supabase (database and sign-in), Amazon Web Services (application hosting and transactional email), Vercel (website hosting and request relay), Sentry (error monitoring), Google (analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies, and web fonts), Mailchimp (newsletter signup), Upstash (rate limiting), jsDelivr (code library delivery), GitHub (scheduled jobs), and Paddle (payments, as our merchant of record). What each one receives is listed in our Privacy Policy.
When you pay for a subscription, you deal with Paddle as well as with us, and Paddle’s own terms apply to the purchase as described in Section 6.
8. Ownership
All content, software, AI models, system architecture, prompts, algorithms, clinical logic, scoring systems, and data pipelines within the Services are the exclusive intellectual property of Prevexium LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trade secret, and intellectual property laws.
Trade Secrets. Prevexium's AI system instructions, prompt engineering, clinical decision logic, and model configuration are maintained as trade secrets on secured backend infrastructure and are never transmitted to end users. Any attempt to discover, reconstruct, or replicate these systems is a violation of these Terms and applicable law.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without express written consent from Prevexium.
Feedback. If you send us ideas, suggestions, or other feedback about the Services, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Suspension and termination
Prevexium may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms, including but not limited to prompt injection attempts, scraping, unauthorized reverse engineering, or PHI mishandling.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall survive.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prevexium LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated clinical guidance.
Prevexium's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to Prevexium in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The clinical limits of the Services are described in Section 5 and in our Disclaimers & Notices.
11. General terms
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
Changes to these Terms. Prevexium reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
